Your files

Every tool reads and changes your files inside your browser. PDFs, photos, documents, videos and the passwords you type into the PDF tools are never sent to our server or to anyone else.

The AI tools, such as background removal, photo restoration and text recognition, also run on your device. Their models are downloaded to your browser; your files are not sent to a server.

What our server receives

The site is delivered by Cloudflare. To send you the pages and protect the site from abuse, it receives what every browser sends with a request: your IP address, the address of the page and your browser and device type.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It uses no cookies, builds no profile of you and does not follow you to other sites.

What is kept on your device

Your browser keeps a few things to save you time: your language and light or dark mode, the last settings in some tools (such as a passport photo size or a text-recognition language), and the draft of a CV in the Resume builder.

Downloaded AI models, text-recognition languages and the site’s own files are stored by your browser so they do not download again and the tools work offline. You can delete all of it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

The app and the browser extension

The Android app opens this website, so everything on this page applies to it. The app collects nothing of its own.

The ZeroToolbox extension for Chrome converts images on your computer. When you choose to save an image as JPG, PNG or WebP, it reads that one image from the website you are on, and for some websites it first asks your permission. Images are never sent to us or to anyone else, and the extension keeps no record of what you save.

Cookies and ads

ZeroToolbox sets no cookies of its own and shows no ads.

Messages you send us

If you use the feedback form, we receive what you write, the contact details you choose to add, the tool you picked, the site language and your browser type. The message is used only to answer you and to improve the site. Please leave out personal details you do not want to share.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, from the Contact page. In practice this is only a message you sent us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
